Here at Hirsch & Mann we use circuit boards as an expressive material that has some rather attractive aesthetics. This is one of our design principles – there is an innate beauty in the materials we use to build Creative Technology projects and products, and we like to celebrate them by making them visible.
This animating signage system is one such execution – where the circuit boards themselves are what’s seen. (Along with some rather delectable LED’s animating behind them of course.)
We used this system to celebrate the brand of our friends at VC firm, Kindred Capital. In normal circumstances, it glows with their colours, and celebrates the geometric patterns of their brand – and if anyone is feeling energetic, they can trigger ‘Disco mode’ by touching one of the hidden sensors and get their dance on.
